Alisa Ganieva is a contemporary Russian writer who was born in 1985, in the Dagestan Republic of the Russian Federation. She studied Oriental Studies and Journalism at the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow, and later received her PhD in Contemporary Russian Literature from the Institute of World Literature in Moscow.

Ganieva first gained widespread attention for her debut novel, “Salam, Dalgat!”, which was published in 2009 under the pseudonym Gulla Khirachev. The book won several literary awards, including the prestigious Debut Prize, and was praised for its vivid portrayal of life in the North Caucasus.

In 2015, Ganieva published her second novel, “Bride & Groom“, which was also well-received by both critics and readers. The book explores the complexities of modern love and marriage in contemporary Russia, and has been praised for its insightful and humorous portrayal of the subject.

In addition to her work as a writer, Ganieva is also a prominent cultural commentator. She has written extensively on topics such as literature, politics, and identity, and has been a vocal advocate for freedom of expression in Russia. With her insightful and engaging writing, she has established herself as one of the most exciting voices in modern Russian literature.
